vision

To unify the churches in North Dallas in one event through prayer and worship to reach the city for Christ.

“Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.” Daniel 9:17

vision

Imagine what God could do if thirty thousand people who are unified through prayer and worship, and are revived by a fresh encounter with God’s Spirit are unleashed to serve as catalysts for transformation in their cities?

The God of the City gathering is to be held on the evening of Tuesday, May 5th at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas! The goal of God of the City is to unify believers across denominational lines in order that God would send revival to the north Dallas Metroplex, resulting in unprecedented prayer and ongoing city transformation.  May 5th will be an evening of prayer, worship, repentance, and proclamation of the Word that results in May 6th and beyond-- churches working together for the transformation of their cities!

The vision for God of the City was birthed from the heart of the local community in North Dallas-not a particular church! This community, Castle Hills, has a growing number of disciples of Jesus who, in the past three years, have come together as one ecumenical body. We have experienced God in a fresh way and are mobilized to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus. God has unified our community through prayer, revived us through worship and His Word, and unleashed us with His missional heart! What God is doing so powerfully here in Castle Hills, we passionately believe He wants to do in our entire region—for Christ’s Bride to unified, revived, and unleashed into the world, transforming every city where the Church is planted!

SOF
The Nicene Creed is the most widely accepted and used brief statements of the Christian Faith. It is Common Ground to East Orthodox, Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans, Calvinists, and many other Christian groups.

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son].
With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.
